A dialogue of Souls around the Mediterranean Sea
A unique musical production bringing together musicians from diverse cultures guided by Grand Maestro Jordi Savall, UNESCO Peace Ambassador. On the occasion of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation Annual Gala Dinner on December 4th 2017 in Brussels. We celebrated the values of sharing, respect for diversity, co-creation and intercultural dialogue. Musicians from Israel, Syria, Turkey, Greece and Spain performed a musical dialogue which included songs of Christian, Sephardic, Ottoman and Arab-Andalusian origins.
Prompted by the large flows of migrants and refugees throughout Europe and the Mediterranean, this theme aimed at raising awareness of the cultural richness of the countries bordering the Mare Nostrum. The concert demonstrated how music can serve an even more prominent role in cultural diplomacy. Read more.
